Josh Gad Sheds 30 Pounds for Upcoming Film Role

People Magazine reports that Josh Gad has shed at least 30 poinds for an upcoming film role. The Broadway vet has been working with a nutritionist and has decreased his food intake, "from about 18 meals a day to about five." (Check out Gad at last night's JOBS film premiere at left!)

The 32-year-old shares that his diet includes eating "seven egg whites with avocado on top and a grapefruit for breakfast. Two hours later, he drinks a protein shake and then will snack on some almonds, followed by a lunch of 7 oz. of turkey on a salad with nonfat dressing. Before a dinner of salmon and veggies, he drinks another protein shake."

Gushes the Book of Mormon star, "It's amazing what it's done to my love life. My wife actually loves me again!"

Gad will soon be seen in the role of Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in JOBS opposite Ashton Kutcher. He was last seen on Broadway in The Book of Mormon, and before that, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

He recently starred in the TV series 1600 Penn, and his film work includes The Internship, and the upcoming movies Frozen and Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here. Other credits include Thanks for Sharing, She Wants Me, the TV series Good Vibes, Gigi: Almost American, Woke Up Dead and Back to You, the films Love & Other Drugs, Crossing Over, The Rocker and more.
