Today, WomanCare Global - a global nonprofit committed to meeting the vast unmet demand for family planning - and actress and activist Jessica Biel launched a new digital series "If You Don't Tell Them, Then Who Will?" on award-winning comedy site, Funny Or Die. As part of a coordinated campaign to educate women and girls about different stages of reproductive life, the digital series takes an unconventional approach by using eye-opening humor to encourage women to talk more openly about their bodies and destroy taboos around women's health. In addition to Biel, who is also a producer on the series, the video shorts feature comedian Whitney Cummings and actress Joy Bryant.

"Vaginas are powerful and it's time we talk about them," said Jessica Biel. "It wasn't long ago that I realized how little I knew about the way my own body worked, and as I started talking to other women, it was clear I wasn't the only one. Lack of education and social stigmas have led to confusion and uncertainty about contraception and reproductive health. As a result, millions of women each year are making uninformed decisions about their own bodies. We thought the best way to encourage women to get educated and start the conversation around our bodies was to make it comically clear that people like me, and other non-experts, should not be the source for this information. WomanCare Global has done incredible work combating women's health issues around the world, and I'm thrilled to collaborate on this campaign that brings light to those issues here at home."

The tagline, "If You Don't Tell Them, Then Who Will," refers to the parent to child relationship, as well as the exchange of information from partner to partner, and from peer to peer. Each video - which is not meant as an instructional sex education resource - will center on a particular topic illustrating why women and girls should not rely on a random internet search, the media, a celebrity or misinformed friends to steer important decisions about their bodies and reproductive health. Encouraging women to understand what choices are available and how those choices impact their lives and the lives of their families, is core to this series.

"We are thrilled to partner with the talented Jessica Biel - who has such an impressive sense of self, as well as sense of humor - to help us pave the way for women to speak openly and honestly about their bodies," said Saundra Pelletier, CEO of WomanCare Global. "The lack of accurate sexual education in this country is extremely dangerous. It's imperative that we annihilate the 'in the shadows' behavior that surrounds women's health so we can effectively educate girls, women, parents, teachers, husbands and boyfriends about reproductive health."

A robust social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter, will support the videos. For educational resources and additional details on the series, visit www.womancareglobal.org
