Jesse Tyler Ferguson is helping out Betty's move to Wednesdays with a little dental comedy. On January 6, Ferguson is reprising his role from season one of the hit show as Betty's orthodontist. As told to Ew.com, Ferguson says "It's a really fun scene between the two of them."

Ferguson, currently starring in ABC's Modern Family, which also airs Wednesday night, will ease viewers into Betty's new timeslot of Wednesdays at 10pm, starting January 6th.

No stranger to television, Jesse Tyler Ferguson received rave reviews and was honored by The Hollywood Reporter in 2006 as one of Ten to Watch for his role on the CBS ensemble sitcom, The Class. Additional television credits include Do Not Disturb, Ugly Betty, and Modern Family.

Ferguson's film credits include Untraceable, directed by Gregory Hoblit and starring Diane Lane, and Griffin & Phoenix, with Amanda Peet and Dermot Mulroney. He will next appear opposite Matthew Broderick in Wonderful World," a 2009 Tribeca Film Festival selection that marks the feature directorial debut of Joshua Goldin.

Born in Missoula, Montana, Ferguson made the decision to become an actor when he was eight years old, and soon after joined the Albuquerque Children's Theater, where he remained a member for six years. After graduating high school, he moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and began performing in Broadway and off-Broadway productions, the most notable of which were the critically-acclaimed, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Outstanding Ensemble Performance winner, Drama Desk Awards, 2005) and the Public Theater Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (Distinguished Performance nominee, Drama League Awards, 2008).

Ugly Betty is a Golden Globe and Emmy winning comedy television series created by Silvio Horta, which premiered on ABC on September 28, 2006. Starring America Ferrera in the title role, along with Eric Mabius, Judith Light, Rebecca Romijn and Vanessa Williams, the series revolves around Betty Suarez, an unglamorous and good-natured girl, and her incongruous job at the ultra-chic New York City fashion magazine Mode. The series is an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Betty la fea, written by Fernando Gaitán. The series is produced by Silent H, Ventanarosa and Reveille respectively partnered with ABC Studios, and is primarily filmed in Los Angeles, California, but together with the pilot episode and the third and fourth season the series is filmed in New York. The executive producers are Salma Hayek, Silvio Horta, Ben Silverman, Jose Tamez and Joel Fields.

During its first three seasons, it was seen on Thursday nights, where it was mostly successful, but in October 2009 it moved to Fridays. Starting in January 2010, it will move to Wednesdays.
