As the desperate search for the Clinton Correctional Facility escapees, Richard Matt and David Sweat, spread across the region and captivated the nation, Investigation Discovery (ID) joined the manhunt with the one-hour special PRISON BREAK: KILLERS ON THE RUN.

From its first airing on Thursday, June 18, through two subsequent updates on the special (PRISON BREAK: MANHUNT and PRISON BREAK: THE MANHUNT ENDS), ID followed every shocking twist and turn in the three-week manhunt providing viewers with an exclusive, real-time experience of the case.

Presented under ID's "instamentary" series strand, FRONT PAGE, and produced by NBC News' Peacock Productions, the premiere and updates of ID's PRISON BREAK special reached more than 8.6 million unique viewers P2+ across all of its airings.
