Gabby Giffords Skydives to Commemorate 3rd Anniversary of Shooting; NBC to Cover

Savannah Guthrie will join Gabby Giffords as the former Arizona congresswoman skydives to commemorate the third anniversary of the Tucson, Ariz. shooting that injured her. The jump will air exclusively on NBC's TODAY, tomorrow, Thursday, January 9.

Guthrie, also a Tucson native, will be in the plane with Giffords as she makes her courageous leap, and the two will sit down for an exclusive interview. Giffords will discuss her remarkable road to recovery and the importance of the three-year milestone. The interview will also air Thursday.
