Former SNL player Will Forte is heading to Fox.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered Forte's comedy LAST MAN ON EARTH to series. Forte will star and executive produce alongside THE LEGO MOVIE's Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

The project follows one man who, like the title suggests, becomes the last living person on the planet.

Shooting is set to kick off this summer, with a midseason premiere being eyed. An exact date and episode count have yet to be confirmed, though Deadline suggests the network will order between 6-10.

In addition to 'Saturday Night Live,' Forte's screen credits include 2013's 'Nebraska,' 'Clone High,' 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'Flight of the Conchords,' 'Sit Down, Shut Up,' and '30 Rock.' He routinely appears off-Broadway in CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY.
