Neil Patrick Harris sat down with Entertainment Weekly's Matt Bean for a Sirius XM "Town Hall" interview which will air today, October 17th at 1:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly Radio. The Hollywood Reporter has shared a first listen of the conversation in which NPH talks about being recently named host of the 2015 Oscars, who he would love to have a duet with for the glitzy show and whether or not he turned down an offer to appear on this season of FX's American Horror Story.

The Tony Award winner is no stranger to hosting Awards shows, having helmed both the Emmys twice and the TONY AWARDS four times. He includes Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Seth Meyers and Ellen DeGeneres among his favorite hosts of all time but hopes that his own performance will not be "super derivative of other shows."

"I hope that I can keep it smart," said Harris. "I've always loved the Oscars and have great respect for its history and the gowns and the classiness of it."
