Ellie Goulding and Zedd to Perform Songs from 'Divergent Soundtrack at 2014 MTV MOVIE AWARDS
MTV today announced that two of music's biggest breakthrough artists, Ellie Goulding and Zedd, are set to perform selections from the "Divergent Soundtrack" during the "2014 MTV Movie Awards," live on Sunday, April 13 from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Additionally, MTV Artist to Watch twenty one pilots are set to perform their new single, "Car Radio."
As the official kickoff to not only the summer blockbuster season, but also to summer music, the "MTV Movie Awards" will feature global superstars Ellie Goulding and Zedd performing selections from the "Divergent Soundtrack." Fresh on the heels of premiering the music video on MTV and sitting down for an interview with "Divergent" stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James, Ellie Goulding will perform "Beating Heart" while Zedd will perform "Find You" Ft. Cherrytree/Interscope recording artist and EDM's go to hit maker Matthew Koma and Swedish vocal powerhouse, Miriam Bryant.
"When I found out 'Find You' would be part of the Divergent Soundtrack I was beyond stoked," said ZEDD. "Getting to perform the song live at the MTV Movie Awards with Matthew and Miriam is a total thrill we're really looking forward to sharing with the fans!"
Having successfully launched artists including Florence + The Machine and Young the Giant during the "MTV Video Music Awards," for the first time, MTV is adding a music discovery slot into "MTV Movie Awards." MTV Artist to Watch twenty one pilots, who thrilled audiences with their high octane stage show during the "2013 mtvU Woodies Awards," will perform their current single, "Car Radio."
