According to Deadline.com, Elijah Wood's new horror company The Woodshed has announced its first project, the film Toad Road by Jason Banker.

The Woodshed, Blackout Films and Random Bench partner for Toad Road, which was discovered by Woodshed's founders Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller and Wood while setting programming for the Nightmare City horror film festival in Los Angeles.

The movie is set around New Jersey's Toad Road, which is known for its connection to an urban legend about the gate to Hell. The project focuses on drug use and youth culture in the area through a combination of documentary and narrative-style filmmaking.

Toad Road's US premiere is set for Los Angeles next Tuesday, October 23 at 10 p.m. as part of Nightmare City.

Toad Road took home Best Director and Best Actor awards at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. Jason Banker directed and produced the film alongside producers Liz Levine and Adrian Salpeter.
