ESPN to Present 2016 NCAA Division I Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships

ESPN will once again be the home of the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor TRACK AND FIELD Championships from Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Spanning four days (June 8-June 11), ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3 will provide exclusive coverage of 42 championships and the top NCAA TRACK AND FIELD athletes. Television coverage will begin with the men's semifinals at 7:30 p.m. ET and air on ESPNU or ESPN2 in the first hour, moving to ESPN2 or ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET. ESPNU will televise the women's semifinals on Thursday, June 9, at 7:30 p.m. before moving to ESPN at 8 p.m. The remainder of the Championship will air on ESPN on Friday, June 10, at 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m.

ESPN3 will also carry four separate live feeds exclusively over the four days, totaling over 40 hours of championship coverage.

Two-time Olympic medalist Dwight Stones will provide play-by-play alongside longtime TRACK AND FIELD analyst Larry Rawson. Jill Montgomery will be the reporter.

The men's championship will see No. 3 Oregon chase their third consecutive national title, along with No. 1 Texas A&M, No. 2 Florida and No. 4 LSU. Individual competitors include Oregon's Edward Cheserek, who has already won 13 NCAA titles in various distance races as a junior, and LSU's Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, who is among the top five in the 100m and leads the country in the 200m.

In the women's championship, SEC Champion and No. 1 Arkansas will be challenged by No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Texas and No. 4 LSU. Among the individual competitors are Courtney Okolo (Texas), who holds the NCAA record in the 400m, defending 400m hurdles champion Shamier Little (Texas A&M) and heptathlete Akela Jones (Kansas State).
