ESPN networks will present exclusive coverage of the 2016 INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP tournament beginning Saturday, July 23, through Saturday, August 13. All matches will air live on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPN Deportes.

The presentation of ICC across ESPN media platforms and languages this summer is part of an agreement with Relevent Sports granting ESPN the U.S. English and Spanish-language rights to the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP through 2018.

"We are excited to add INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP to our soccer roster," said Scott Guglielmino, ESPN senior vice president of programming. "The ICC is a great complement to our lineup of marquee international events this summer led by UEFA EURO 2016. We look forward to showcasing some of the best soccer brands in the world across our media platforms to our bilingual soccer fans."

"We are thrilled to partner with the world's preeminent sports media company, said Charlie Stillitano, Chairman of Relevent Sports. "Having the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP on the ESPN family of networks further increases the visibility and reach of an increasingly global tournament. "

This year's INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP features the most storied and successful clubs in the world, including many of the world's top players. The 10 participating teams have won a total of 190 domestic league titles, 246 domestic cup titles and 36 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE titles. The teams feature 18 of the 2015-2016 FIFA Ballon d'Or nominees, as well as 50 of the top 100 players in the world as chosen yearly by renowned English magazine FourFourTwo.

In its fourth edition, the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP will once again be played across the globe, including standalone tournaments in both China and Australia. Each team will play three contests and the club with the most points at the end of the tournament will be crowned champion. Each win in regulation will result in three points and a tie will go straight to a shootout; the winning team in a shootout will receive two points and the losing team will receive one.
