Disney Channel is Top Day Cable Network in Total Viewers During 1Q

For 1Q 2015, Disney Channel was TV's #1 network in Total Day in Total Viewers (1.3 million), Kids 6-11 (446,000/1.9 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (413,000/1.7 rating), marking the channel's 16th-consecutive quarter at #1 among Kids 6-11 (2Q11 to present) and the 24th-consecutive quarter at #1 among Tweens 9-14 (2Q09 to present).

Disney Channel out-performed Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 15th quarter in a row in Kids 6-11 (+26% - 446,000 vs. 354,000) and Tweens 9-14 (+73% - 413,000 vs. 239,000 - best in 5 quarters) - dates back to 6/27/11.

In Primetime, Disney Channel is TV's #1 network for the 43rd-consecutive quarter in Kids 6-11 (732,000/3.1 rating) and 66th-straight quarter in Tweens 9-14 (647,000/2.7 rating).

  • The premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie "Bad Hair Day" (2/13/15, 8:00 - 9:44 p.m.) easily ranked as the #1 TV telecast in Kids 2-11 (2.4 million/6.1 rating) and Kids 6-11 (2.0 million/8.3 rating) and was the #1 cable TV movie in Total Viewers (4.6 million) and Tweens 9-14 (1.7 million/6.9 rating).
  • The series launch of "K.C. Undercover" stood as the #1 TV telecast among Tweens 9-14 (1.7 million/7.1 rating) and was the #2 TV telecast of the quarter among Kids 2-11 (2.1 million/5.4 rating) and Kids 6-11 (1.8 million/7.5 rating).

24- Hour Disney Junior channel

Boasting all-time quarter highs in several key demographics, the 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked as TV's #1 preschooler network for the 8th-straight quarter in Total Viewers (568,000), Kids 2-5 (255,000/1.6 rating), Girls 2-5 (137,000/1.8 rating), Boys 2-5 (119,000/1.5 rating) and Women 18-49 (113,000) - each quarter since reporting public ratings at the top of 2Q13 - more than doubling Nick Jr. in most measures and surpassing Sprout by triple digits for the 8th quarter in a row.

1Q15 generated all-time quarter highs in Total Day in Total Viewers (568,000), Girls 2-5 (137,000/1.8 rating) and Women 18-49 (113,000) and was its 2nd-most-watched quarter to date in Kids 2-5 (255,000/1.6 rating).

1Q15 vs. 1Q14, the channel built by strong double digits across target measures, including by 23% in Total Viewers (568,000 vs. 460,000) and by 12% in Kids 2-5 (255,000 vs. 228,000).

  • Disney Junior channel defeated Nick Jr. by a best-ever 104% in Total Viewers (568,000 vs. 279,000), by 96% in Girls 2-5 (137,000 vs. 70,000) and by 135% in Women 18-49 (113,000 vs. 48,000) and by its 2nd-largest margin on record in Kids 2-5 (+104% - 255,000 vs. 125,000) and Boys 2-5 (+116% - 119,000 vs. 55,000).
  • Disney Junior channel out-performed Sprout by triple digits for the 8th-consecutive quarter across key categories: Total Viewers (+284% - 568,000 vs. 148,000), Kids 2-5 (+325% - 255,000 vs. 60,000), Girls 2-5 (+389% - 137,000 vs. 28,000), Boys 2-5 (+272% - 119,000 vs. 32,000) and Women 18-49 (+265% - 113,000 vs. 31,000).
