A Klondike-themed episode of the Gold Rush pre-show, The Dirt, will premiere on Monday Jan. 20 at 7PM before the 9PM premiere of Discovery's first ever Mini-Series, Klondike. This special episode will explore the connection between the 19th century Klondike Gold Rush and those of modern day gold miners and their crews who still seek glory and fortune in and out of the Klondike, hosted by Christo Doyle, who also serves as Executive Producer of GOLD RUSH.

This Klondike episode of The Dirt will feature interviews with the actors who portray key characters from Klondike, including Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Abbie Cornish (Sucker Punch, Limitless), Johnny Simmons (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Conor Leslie (Chained) as well as Gold Rush gold miners Parker Schnabel, "Dakota" Fred Hurt and Dustin Hurt.

In 1897 two friends make the perilous journey through North American wilderness to the Klondike boom town Dawson City, "The Paris of the North" where murder, revenge, riches and redemption await.
