Daisy Ridley & J.J. Abrams Reuniting for Fantasy Thriller KOLMA

The force is strong with these two.

According to Deadline, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS director, J.J. Abrams, and its star, newcomer Daisy Ridley, will reunite for the upcoming fantasy thriller KOLMA. Abrams will produce the pic, with Ridley in talks to star. THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL's Marielle Heller is set to helm.

KOLMA is "based on the 13-year-old Israeli telepic All I've Got. Kolma centers on a young woman who is in a car crash that kills her boyfriend. When she dies decades later, she is given the choice of returning to the day of the accident to live her life again or being reunited with her love."

Rumors were circulating last month that Ridley might take on the iconic role of Lara Croft in Warner Bros. planned TOMB RAIDER reboot, which could hit theaters as soon as Fall 2017.

J.J. Abrams is Founder and President of Bad Robot Productions, a film and television production company. He is a writer, director and producer of such television series as "Felicity," "Alias," "Lost," "Fringe," and "Person of Interest," and films such as, "Mission Impossible: 3," "Super 8," "Star Trek." Abrams is currently in post production on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which he also co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. Bad Robot is also producing the upcoming series "11/22/63," "Westworld, " and "Roadies." Abrams and his wife,Katie McGrath, live in Los Angeles with their three children.
