Things are shaking up this week on DANCING WITH THE STARS as the "Switch-Up" performances begin. This is one of my personal favorite weeks of the show. I always enjoy seeing the different dynamics of the changed pairs-it always makes for an interesting night, and tonight should be no exception.

Tonight's episode started off with a bang (pun intended) as guest judge Jessie J opened the show with a mash-up of her smash hit "Bang Bang" and her newest single "Burnin' Up."

The "Switch-Up" performances are as follows:

Switch-Up Couple: Antonio and Allison
Style of Dance: Bollywood
Song: "1234 Get on the Dance Floor"
My 5-second review: Seeing Antonio let loose this week puts a smile on my face.
Judges' Score: 28/40

The usually stiff and not-on-my-radar Antonio gave a wonderful performance tonight. He looked like he was having a blast. I'm glad he was paired with Allison-it seemed like she brought the best out of him.

Switch-Up Couple: Bethany and Mark
Style of Dance: Hip-Hop
Song: "Came to Give it to You"
My 5-second review: Who knew Bethany had that in her?!
Judges' Score: 32/40

WELL. The quirky Miss Mota was put on the back burner tonight because all I saw on that stage was sass. I congratulate Mark for breaking Bethany out of her shell. Also, the set up of that number was so much fun. Derek and Sadie are good sports and good friends for making the performance that much more enjoyable.

Switch-Up Couple: Jonathan and Peta
Style of Dance: Jitterbug
Song: "Rock This Town" (performed by *NSYNC and DWTS alum Joey Fatone)
My 5-second review: I thought there were too many "Oh dear, please don't drop her!" moments.
Judges' Score: 24/40

I understand that the jitterbug has a lot of lifts and jumps and bouncy steps, but I felt like this performance was too full of it all. Too much of a good thing is never a good thing.

Switch-Up Couple: Alfonso and Cheryl
Style of Dance: Flamenco
Song: Unknown Flamenco instrumental
My 5-second review: Woah. That was intensity.
Judges' Score: 34/40

Switch-Up Couple: Janel and Artem
Style of Dance: Burlesque
Song: "Mama Knows Best"
My 5-second review: Well, that was sexy. And really well done (but at this point I just expect that from Janel.)
Judges' Score: 33/40

We definitely saw a new side of Alfonso tonight. His dance was the most anticipated for me because last week he had both a perfect score and America in the palm of his hand...what could he possibly do to top that? Totally shock his audience by doing a passionate and intense Flamenco with Cheryl Burke. I never would have predicted that.

Switch-Up Couple: Michael and Witney
Style of Dance: Disco
Song: "Car Wash"
My 5-second review: I loved the song choice. The dance...not so much. But I don't think it was as bad as the judges thought it was.
Judges' Score: 20/40

I can see why the judges were so nit-picky on this dance, but I did not think it deserved a 20. I thought he did the best he could have.

Switch-Up Couple: Tommy and Emma
Style of Dance: Mambo
Song:"Pass the Dutchie"
My 5-second review: I don't know of any other man in his 70s who can move his hips like Tommy.
Judges' Score: 23/40

I can't say I thought this dance was spectacular, but as always, it was entertaining. I just don't know how long entertaining is going to keep Tommy in the competition.

Switch-Up Couple: Sadie and Derek
Style of Dance: Charleston
Song: "Crazy Stupid Love"
My 5-second review: The chemistry and choreography were on point.
Judges' Score: 36/40

I absolutely loved this performance. The two of them flowed really well and the style of dance was such an entertaining one to watch.

Switch-Up Couple: Lea and Val
Style of Dance: Broadway
Song: "You Can't Stop the Beat"
My 5-second review: HAIRSPRAY!!! The performance was absolutely wonderful, but my first thought was HAIRSPRAY!!!
Judges' Score: 34/40

WHEN is this woman going to receive the perfect score she so rightfully deserves?! My excitement over the song choice aside, I think it was one of the best performances of the night, and I feel like I say that about Lea consistently. She and Val were so much fun together.

Because of the "Switch-Up" week, all couples remain safe for the week, but one will be eliminated during next week's episode. The next show will also welcome guest judge chart-topping artist Pitbull. I can't say that I'm a fan of his, but his commentary, like all guest judges, will be interesting to receive.
