NBC Olympics' exclusive and unprecedented coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics was the most ambitious media event in history, providing more ways to consume more hours of content across more platforms than any Olympics ever.

Locally, NBC10 / WCAU dominated the Philadelphia market with its coverage, sending NBC10 reporter Jacqueline London to Rio to provide live reports from the games and exclusive social media content via Facebook and Twitter. NBC10 also featured Olympic Zone, a daily, half-hour program giving viewers an in-depth look at the sporting events from a local perspective, featuring stories and interviews with athletes from the Delaware Valley.

"Our team's extensive coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics offered unparalleled access to the games for our viewers throughout Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware," said Anzio Williams, Vice President of News for NBC10 and Telemundo62. "We provided live, widespread field coverage from Rio, offering viewers a special insider's view of the games while reporting on the biggest news about the competitions, as well as heartwarming stories about the athletes."

From a ratings perspective, NBC10 ranked as the number one station in Philadelphia for the 17 days of the Olympics, dominating each Olympic time period.
