Comedian Spike Feresten Hosts Esquire's New Original Series CAR MATCHMAKER, Beginning Tonight

Comedian SPIKE Feresten has written for Seinfeld, THE SIMPSONS and even hosted his own talk show, but now this car lover is finally getting a shot at his true calling: finding people their perfect cars. In the new original series CAR MATCHMAKER, SPIKE pulls out all the stops to find the perfect ride for everyone, from average Joes to big bucks businessmen. And some of Spike's celebrity buddies stop by, including Seth Meyers, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Forte and even Fabio. The 13-episode series premieres tonight, October 14 at 9/8c on Esquire Network.

Spike's been obsessed with cars for as long as he can remember. In each half-hour episode of CAR MATCHMAKER, he meets a buyer in need of a car, gets to know them, and then draws upon his knowledge and instinct to find three different cars perfectly suited to that buyer. At the end of each episode, a car is chosen. But will SPIKE agree with the choice? For that matter, will you?

CAR MATCHMAKER is taped in automobile-centric Southern California and features cars from all eras and price ranges, from a Jaguar F-type to a 1987 Buick Grand National. Participants featured were already in the market for a car and answered our shout-out to get some advice from a true car fanatic. Episodes feature SPIKE helping a freelance comic artist find the perfect car for his superhero-centric life; hooking up a model with a cool sports car; and convincing a SURFING DJ at one of the biggest radio stations in the country to trade in his beat-up sedan for a new set of wheels.

SPIKE is best known as a writer for Seinfeld, LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN and Saturday Night Live. At Seinfeld, he earned three Emmy nominations, including one for the infamous "Soup Nazi" episode. He hosted his own late night series on FOX, Talkshow with SPIKE Feresten, which he executive produced and co-wrote and has written and developed other television comedy, penning episodes of The Simpsons, Space Ghost Coast to Coast and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.
