Chip Colley Named New Director of CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY

Chip Colley, a longtime director for CBS News, has been promoted to director of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY. In this role, Colley will also direct during CBS News' special events and contribute to CBS News' breaking news coverage. His appointment is effective Feb. 24.

Most recently, Colley was the director of CBS This Morning: Saturday since 2012 and the director of the weekend editions of the CBS EVENING NEWS since 2003. Before that, he was the director of the Saturday edition of "The Early Show" (2009-2012) and "The Early Show" (1999-2003). Colley joined CBS News in 1992 as the director of UP TO THE MINUTE.

During his career at CBS News, Colley has directed pool commitments for the Network and coverage of numerous special events, including presidential nominating conventions.
