In an all new interview with Extra, actor Charlie Sheen hints that CBS may be open to the idea o giving him a chance to reprise his role as Charlie Harper in the the long-running comedy TWO AND A HALF MEN.

"They know that I want to do it, and I know that they're open to it, so I guess we're just a meeting away from making it happen," he explained. "I just think I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans, I owe it to myself, I owe it to Chuck [Lorre], Jon [Cryer]. Yeah, I just think it makes sense."

In 2011, Sheen had a well reported falling out with the show's creator Chuck Lorre which resulted in him being fired from the series. Of the departure he jokes, "Never leave a hit show unless you're fired, right? Was that out loud?"

Asked how he imagines his return might be written into the show's finale, the actor offers, "I have a brilliant idea, but don't want to give it away. It's the type of moment I think people would talk about for a long time and it wouldn't get in anybody's way. Think it would be a nice tip of the hat... they know I want to do it and I know they're open to it, so, guess we're just a meeting away from making it happen."
