At this morning's CBS presentation of its 2014-15 schedule, the network's Nina Tassler revealed that next season of Chuck Lorre's long-running comedy series TWO AND A HALF MEN, will be its last. The series will now air on Thursdays at 9 p.m.

"Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event. We did very well last year with announcing final season of How I Met You Mother here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he's got some great ideas and very big surprises," explained Tassler. "We know fans and audiences respond to that and that should really give us a nice boost when we launch our new comedy."

Could the "surprises" mean a return of former series star Charlie Sheen? Stay tuned!

The network shared that it has decided to pass the How I Met Your Mother spinoff titled 'How I Met Your Father'.

"There were elements on the pilot that didn't work out," Tassler told reporters. "We tried to work out about redoing the pilot. That's not happening right now. Sometimes you run into these kind of issues and you hope they can resolve themselves in that time frame."

Tassler also revealed that the network considered re-doing the pilot yet conceded, "that's not happening right now."
