CBS THIS MORNING Continues Momentum; Gains Viewers vs. Last Year

CBS THIS MORNING posted year-to-year gains in viewers, according to Nielsen's live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 16. This comes as CBS THIS MORNING scores 50th consecutive months of year-over-year viewership gains.

CBS THIS MORNING is up +5% in viewers (3.74m from 3.56m), even in adults 25-54 (0.9 rtg), and women 18-49 (0.7 rtg). ABC was down or flat in all of these measures: down -4% in viewers, -7% in adults 25-54 and flat in women 18-49.

CBS THIS MORNING gained +176,000 viewers compared to the same week last year and closed the viewership gap with ABC by 352,000 viewers.

Season-to-date, CBS THIS MORNING is the only morning news broadcast to show growth in viewers and women 25-54 according to Nielsen's most current ratings. CBS THIS MORNING is up +6% in viewers and +10% in women 25-54. ABC experienced declines in these measures: down -6% in both viewers and women 25-54. NBC was also down: -2% in viewers, and -5% in women 25-54.

CBS THIS MORNING has delivered year-over-year audience growth for 50 consecutive months while ABC has not experienced year-over-year monthly gains since April 2014.
