CBS Sports to Kick Off 2016 NFL Season with Most Games of Any Network

The CBS Television Network continues to be the leading NFL broadcast network as it kicks off its 2016 NFL season broadcasting the most games of any network with THE NFL ON CBS Sunday afternoon and Thursday Night Football packages.

THE NFL ON CBS schedule features some of the most marquee games in the 4:25 PM national window, the highest-rated NFL television window, including Cincinnati-Dallas (10/9), New England-Pittsburgh (10/23), Indianapolis-Green Bay (11/6) and New England-Denver (12/18); as well as key 1:00 PM match-ups including Cincinnati-Pittsburgh (9/18), Cincinnati-New England (10/16), Baltimore-Dallas (11/20), Houston-Green Bay (12/4) and N.Y. Jets-New England (12/24).

In addition to the AFC package, THE NFL ON CBS schedule once again features NFC crossover-flex games including Philadelphia-Seattle (11/20) and Carolina-Oakland (11/28). The regular-season schedule is followed by a post-season slate of AFC Playoff games including the AFC Championship game on January 22, 2017.

This year marks the CBS Television Network's 57th year broadcasting the NFL, as well as the third season of partnership between CBS and NFL Network in televising Thursday Night Football. The five-game Thursday Night Football schedule kicks off on September 15 and features New England, Denver and the classic NFC North rivalry Chicago at Green Bay (10/20).

OPENING KICK-OFF THE NFL ON CBS kicks off Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 11 with Cleveland vs. Philadelphia; Cincinnati vs. N.Y. Jets, Buffalo vs. Baltimore; San Diego vs. Kansas City and Miami vs. Seattle.
