CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD kicked off the 2014-2015 season by posting year-to-year double-digit percentage gains in viewers and adults 25-54, and was the #1 Sunday morning news program in those categories, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 28.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING averaged 5.98 million viewers and a 1.5/08 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +13% in viewers (from 5.29m) and up +15% with adults 24-54 (from a 1.3/07) when compared to last year.

Sunday's broadcast featured John Blackstone's interview with Fleetwood Mac co-founder Mick Fleetwood; Lee Cowan's profile of NHRA drag racer John Force and his family; Michelle Miller's report on the nationwide resurgence of swing dancing; Tracy Smith's look at how Sunday nights are jammed with quality TV programming; Bill Geist's trip to the annual convention of ventriloquists; and Steve Hartman's report on a youth football team struggling to break through a team banner.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
