CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD posted year-to-year gains in viewers and was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 and viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 9, 2014.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING was watched by 5.33m viewers and delivered a 1.3/08 with adults 24-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same week a year ago, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up 4% in viewers (from 5.13m) and even in adults 25-54.

Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +5% in viewers (5.97m from 5.69m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.5/07) compared to last year.

Sunday's broadcast was anchored by Lee Cowan and featured his profile of Broadway legend Elaine Stritch, contributor M. Sanjayan's report on Kenya's efforts to stop elephant poaching, Lesley Stahl's segment on the famed New Orleans based Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Serena Altschul's visit to the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, Anthony Mason's look at the life and legacy of actor and martial arts star Bruce Lee, and Bill Geist's chat with the curator of the Museum of Bad Art.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
