CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, is delivering its best season-to-date audience levels in at least 29 years, according to Nielsen most current ratings. Season-to-date, the broadcast is delivering 6.09 million viewers and a 1.2/07 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same point last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +4% in viewers (from 5.87m).
And for the week ending Jan. 15, CBS SUNDAY MORNING marked the eighth time in 10 weeks the broadcast delivered more than 6 million viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The broadcast posted 6.10 million viewers and a 1.3/07 with adults 25-54. Jane Pauley anchored Sunday's broadcast, which started with Martha Teichner's cover story on the life and legacy of President Barack Obama as the country prepares for a change at the White House. The broadcast also featured Michelle Miller's conversation with inauguration singer Jackie Evancho; Lee Cowan's profile of actress Viola Davis; Faith Salie's interview with outgoing secretary of the army Eric Fanning; Rita Braver's look at the trends in inaugural gowns throughout the years; Bill Plante's chat with White House photographer Pete Souza; Mo Rocca's look at New York City's St. Paul's Chapel where George Washington prayed on his Inauguration Day; Chip Reid's visit to an exhibit of elaborate dollhouses; and Washington Post columnist Robin Givhan's thoughts on First Lady Michelle Obama's accomplishments.Videos
