CBS Pulls the Plug on '3' After Two Airings
CBS has pulled its summer entry "3" after just two airings. Various repeats will plug the show's Sunday, 9:00/8:00c slot going forward, including "Hawaii Five-0" on August 5 and "Criminal Minds" on August 12.
"3" opened to a modest 2.39 million viewers and a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating on July 26, falling to 1.76 million viewers and a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating for its time period premiere this past Sunday.
"It was a show we tried, we were excited about. It didn't quite get traction," CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told reporters on Sunday morning, prior to said second airing. "I think overall the summer has been a little bit soft for everybody. For us, we usually have a steady diet of repeats and reality, which is which still is good business for us."
“3” was a new relationship series in which three single women of different ages, life experiences and backgrounds meet for the first time with a common goal – to find true love. During their journey, the women meet nearly 100 men before they begin to narrow down their suitors to find their perfect partner. As they search for a partner, they share their lives and emotionally support one another during the dating and decision making process.
