CATFISH Season 2 Premieres to 2.5 Million Viewers on MTV

The season two debut of MTV's hit docu-series "Catfish: The TV Show" garnered a 2.2 rating among P12-34 making it the #1 cable telecast of the day and the #2 telecast of the day across all TV in the key P12-34 demo. Overall, the episode drew 2.5 million total viewers.

Additionally, the series scored a 2.1 rating among teens and a 3.2 among female teens, making it the show's highest ratings ever within each demo.

"Catfish: The TV Show" was also the most social program on television yesterday and the most social episode of the series to date, according to Social Guide. In total, the show generated approximately 800,000 mentions on Twitter over the course of the day and had 15 trending topics during the premiere episode.

Next week's episode, airing on Tuesday, July 2, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, features "Anthony and Marq," and tells the story of an Iraq veteran captivated by a sensitive mystery man.
