Bruce Willis in Talks to Star in AMERICAN ASSASSIN

Variety reports that Bruce Willis is currently in negotiations  to star as a CIA agent in the upcoming thriller AMERICAN ASSASSIN from CBS Films. Jeffrey Nachmanoff will direct the picture which was scripted by Mike Finch. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Nick Wechsler will produce.

The story follows Mitch Rapp, described as "a former Syracuse grad student who joins the CIA after his girlfriend his killed by a terrorist attack." Willis will portray a company operative who serves as Rapp's mentor.

Production is schedule to begin next Fall.

Willis is best known for the role of John McClane in the Die Hard film franchise. He has also appeared in over sixty films, including box office successes like Pulp Fiction (1994), 12 Monkeys (1995), The Fifth Element (1997), Armageddon (1998), The Sixth Sense (1999), Unbreakable (2000), Sin City (2005), Over the Hedge (2006) and Red (2010).
