Deadline reports that Broadway veteran Jackie Hoffman has signed on to the cast of Ryan Murphy's latest anthology series, FEUD, coming to FX. In addition, Murphy's "American Horror Story" collaborator Tim Minear will serve as co-showrunner. Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon, Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess also star.

The eight-episode series will follow "the legendary rivalry between two of the greatest movie stars of all time - Joan Crawford, played by Lange, and Bette Davis (Sarandon), and how they came together in 1962 to collaborate on a picture each hoped would revive their careers."

Hoffman will take on the role of Mamasita, Joan Crawford's housekeeper.

In a statment, Murphy said of the veteran writer-producer Minear, "I've loved working with Tim since the very first season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY and he's been the perfect partner on Feud. I'm as excited about this project as any I've ever done." Production on the first installment is set to begin this fall for a 2017 premiere.

Jackie Hoffman's Broadway credits include ON THE TOWN, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and HAIRSPRAY. She also stars on TV's "Difficult People."
