STAR TREK fans and other media/television fans in New England and the Northeast will be interested in the Creation Entertainment Official STAR TREK Convention to be held on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 at the John B. Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Actors from all of the series will be speaking and making appearances, many of whom have credits in other popular television series (John Billingsley of TRUE BLOOD, among others) and the Broadway and regional stages (Avery Brooks) as well as in other major Science fiction television.

Guests include Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko of DEEP SPACE NINE), Walter Koenig (Ensign Chekov of the original series), Robert Picardo (the doctor, VOYAGER), Max Grodenchik and Aron Eisenberg, Connor Trinneer, Tim Russ, and John Billingsley, as well as many other actors from the various series.

The actors will make appearances, will be available for photographs, and will hold autograph sessions for fans. A vendors room will be available for collectors and for fans needing various forms of gear from DVDs to T-shirts and models.

Additional events will include Science panels with Ira Mark Egdall, author of EINSTEIN RELATIVELY SIMPLE, a fan video contest, and a costume parade. Screenwriter Morgan Gendel will also be appearing. On Saturday, convention attendees may also choose to attend a session on STAR TREK video game development.

The convention hotel is the Sheraton Boston, though the convention events are planned for the convention center.

Other television shows on which the convention's guests have appeared include ER, TRUE BLOOD, STARGATE: SG-1, STARGATE: ATLANTIS, CHINA BEACH, THE WONDER YEARS, THE WEST WING, SPENSER: FOR HIRE, SUITS, ICARLY, and SCRUBS; Dominic Keating, another guest at the event, was one of the stars of hit British series DESMONDS. Their films include THE HOWLING, 2012, SPACEBALLS, THE LIARS' CLUB, LEPRECHAUN: IN THE HOOD, HELLRAISER III, THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN, THE ROCKETEER, and many others. Several guests, including Brooks, Picardo, Billingsley, and Keating, are known for their stage work as well.

Admission fees range from $20 for a general admission day pass and $40 for a preferred pass up to $210 for a gold weekend package (the front-row-seating package, at a higher price, has been sold out for some time). Although day passes to the convention are available each day, passes may also be purchased in advance online, particularly important if purchasing a package which includes autographs (otherwise available for a fee). Creation Entertainment convention passes provide a convenient and relatively inexpensive way for fans of the scheduled performers, whether or not their interest is STAR TREK based, to meet them personally.

For more information, to purchase passes, and to order photograph session and autograph tickets in advance, visit Creation Entertainment at www.creationent.com. For information on the hotel, contact the Sheraton Boston at 888-627-7054.
