Los Angeles-based Just Singer Entertainment and Vancouver-based Sepia Films have announced the airdate for the powerful new television movie PERFECT HIGH set in the world of teenage drug use. The film is scheduled to air Saturday, June 27 at 8/7C on Lifetime in the US and Sunday, July 5 at 8ET/5PT on SuperChannel in Canada. The film stars Bella Thorne in a bold departure from her earlier work and an outstanding ensemble cast including Israel Broussard, Daniela Bobadilla, Ross Butler, Jasmine Sky Sarin and Matreya Fedor.

Inspired by the shocking rise in heroin addiction among suburban teenagers, PERFECT HIGH stars Bella Thorne (The DUFF; Blended; Shake it Up!) as Amanda, a star high school dancer who starts using prescription painkillers after being sidelined by a knee injury. Feeling neglected and isolated, Amanda is adopted by an ultra cool group of friends, including Carson (Israel Broussard, The Bling Ring), Riley (Daniela Bobadilla, Anger Management) and Nate (Ross Butler, Teen Beach Movie 2). She quickly becomes part of their inner circle, which means sharing her pills, having regular "pharm" parties, and falling in love for the first time. At the same time, her new habits affect her dance team performance and raises concerns among her family, and old friends and teammates. As their drug use inevitably spirals into addiction, Amanda and her friends resort to lying, stealing and worse to fund their habit. Their lives are forever altered when a classmate begins selling them heroin disguised as a cheaper painkiller from Mexico.

Directed by Vanessa Parise (Jack and Jill vs. the World; Kiss the Bride) and written by Anne-Marie Hess, PERFECT HIGH was executive produced by Sheri Singer of Just Singer Entertainment (Girl vs. Monster; Jackie, Ethel, Joan: Women of Camelot; the Halloweentown franchise) and produced by Sepia Films' Tina Pehme and Kim C. Roberts (The Games Maker, Sundance 2015; In Their Skin, Tribeca 2012; A Shine of Rainbows, TIFF 2010).

Singer became passionate about making PERFECT HIGH after realizing, "heroin was no longer a street drug that was bought in back alleys but in fact was being sold at schools, Starbucks, parking lots. Normal, good kids were getting involved in doing it and often the gateway drug is painkillers from the medicine cabinets of their parents and relatives." Producer Tina Pehme explains, "One thing you'll see in our film is the realistic progression, how just an ordinary girl goes from getting a prescription for an injury into a full-blown drug addict. It's one little step at a time. And it can happen to anyone. It could be you. It could be your child."

PERFECT HIGH's premiere evening June 27 will feature stars Bella Thorne, Daniela Bobadilla, Ross Butler, Israel Broussard and co-stars Jasmine Sky Sarin and Matreya Fedor live-tweeting the broadcast from a premiere party and event hosted by Chelsea Briggs of Hollywire TV.
