Now, that's what I call a Valentine's Day episode. A celebration of the recently dumped, single and miserable, Nick Miller leads the way on a vengeful bar crawl to rage against this awful Hallmark holiday.

Newly single Nick has decided to complete a bar crawl and he wants everyone to join him. Despite their plans, everyone complies, eventually. As the crawl goes on, Nick acquires a laundry list of people drinking away their VD blues and becomes a Spartacus figure in some aspects as he tries to complete the crawl. At the end of his journey, he is saddened. About his breakup? No, he just doesn't know what to do next. Thankfully, the full gang is there to remind him that he actually has a lot going on and most importantly, he has them.

In other relationship news, after trying desperately to keep up with Nick in the drinking department, a very drunk Cece winds up leaning on Schmidt to help her through the night. She finally admits to Winston that she does, in fact, love Schmidt. Too bad Schmidt's new girlfriend chooses that night to commit to a relationship with him.

Coach tries to pick up a girl in the first bar on the crawl and is rejected miserably. He proceeds to run into her at every other bar until they finally admit that their lives are eerily intersecting. He is skeptical, but does ask if he can pursue her. A new romance for Coach? Finally? My boy, Ernie, needs some love!

And lastly, our cutest couple "Jyan," are also headed for trouble. When Ryan decides to look for a new job, Jess is concerned they will never see each other. Ryan asks her to move in with him. After some initial freak out, she agrees to it. And just like that? Ryan is offered the Headmaster job at Wellington back in England. I actually have grown attached to Ryan and am not ready to see him go, the same way I'm sure Jess feels.

This episode was very sweet seeing all the roommates and pals at their most vulnerable. And through it all, they always end up with each other. A nice, refreshing take on Valentines Day where romance was set aside for friendship.

Also, my new hero? Coach's new love interest, Fay. She gives him her email address instead of her phone number and challenges him to write a well composed and thought out email with full sentences that are grammatically correct. I think my life just changed forever.

Lines I Love:

  • Jess - Hey, Nick... are you covered in gravy?

  • Nick - Your mouth is writing a check that your body can't find.

  • Coach - If you're a girl and you're in a bar on Valentine's Day, you're basically saying "Hello, it's February. I'm interested in some casual sex."

  • Nick - These are the Crawlers. The single, the lonely, the close-talkers, the shockingly pale, the stank mouth, the fat boys in the back, the chubby fronts, the delusionally okay with themselves, but no one is alone tonight, because? The crawl is for all!

  • Winston - Where my altos at? Come on, now, don't be shy, I see you!

For the record, I think Winston is the bestest of all the friends. He was there on the crawl for every single one of them. He supported drunk heartbroken Nick, he encouraged Coach to go after his dream girl, he made Cece admit her love for Schmidt and called her out on her disappointment when he kissed his girlfriend, I love Winston. We all need a Winston in our lives.

Is this the end for Jyan? Nick is heartbroken, Cece admitted she was pining for Schmidt and now Jess? I think that apartment is headed for some serious tubs of ice cream.
