I tell ya, these Mikelson family reunions keep coming and they never turn out well. Don't they know that we are approaching the holidays and it's time to forgive and forget? Can you imagine what their Secret Santa party would be like? The horrors!

In a rare moment of sentiment, Klaus is basically begging Elijah to snap out of his Esther-induced coma as Elijah is trapped in his subconscious. Outside in the real world, Klaus goes off into the woods to find an orchid to help Klaus. On his way, he runs into Hansell. Ah, father/son bonding time.

Meanwhile, after giving Oliver a Viking funeral, Jackson is refusing to take his role as the Alpha. Hayley goes to Plan B and recruits Aidan to help her bring down Esther. (Jackson? Aidan? What is this Beacon Hills?) They plan to get Vincent/Finn alone and use some ancient BDSM gear to render him useless. When they bring their plan to Marcel, he offers Cami as bait. (She agrees way too quickly to this plan, in my opinion). The plan works and on Cami and Vincent/Finn's date, Cami is "bitten" and kidnapped. Vincent/Finn contacts Aidan to help him find her and arrives at the church as per the plan. He realizes he's being setup and kills (?) Aidan and Josh and is about to kill Hayley when Jackson arrives and saves the day.

Kol is still trying to prove himself to Davina, but Esther is still mad that he didn't tell her Mikel was back. Kol assures her it was to protect Esther's plan and make Davina think he was on her side. Kol asks Davina to use her family blood to get him into his old, secret lair in the graveyard. Inside, the two do a spell together and Kol makes her a replacement bracelet for the one he broke. They have a few close calls, but no lip action yet. As she falls asleep, he sees the White Oak Stake is there for his taking.

Klaus and Hansell are doing some major bonding and Hansell reveals that he knows Hope is alive. Klaus decides this is too much to handle and kills Hansell. He leaves his body hanging in Esther's cave (?). When he goes home, he begs Elijah once again to come back to him and Elijah wakes up. Klaus confesses what he did and Elijah tells him they have to do everything to keep Hope safe, including killing their fathers, I guess. Hayley and Marcel arrive and present the brothers with a gift: Both Kol and Vincent/Finn tied up with no magical powers. The brothers are all finally together, unbeknownst to any of them that Esther has located Cami.

I'm a little sad that we lost Hansell so soon. I really would have enjoyed more Klaus/Daddy bonding time. And like Hansell said, Klaus REALLY needed it. But it also made him realize just how much he needs Elijah.

A lot of chemistry with Jackson and Hayley. I'm thinking Elijah has some stiff competition in the Alpha. I can't imagine that all the Mikelsons are going to make it through this season alive, so I'm wondering who'll be the first to fall? I'm thinking Kol. That's my gut reaction. But no fear, Kol, Mikelsons (apparently) never stay dead long. #bringbackfreya

What I Know:

  • Klaus, you make it really hard to like you. And then you smile...

  • Hayley looked more excited to see Jackson than Elijah. Granted, Jackson saved her life, but still... ELIJAH!

  • Davina's hair is unbelievable. Does she do a spell to get that look or does she have time between all of these incidents to stop and get a blow out?

What I Don't Know:

  • Is Davina old enough to drive?

  • Whose side is Kol on? I'm thinking he really likes Davina, but it's so hard to tell with these witches. (Warlocks?)

  • Josh and Aidan are okay right? I'll be really pissed if they kill the first interspecies, gay couple off this soon.

Lines I Love:

  • Hayley - I've learned a few things from your mother. I won't go after her, I'll go after everything that she loves.

  • Kol - Remind me later to show you how to text.

  • Jackson - You're right. You're not the girl I waited for; you're better.

I'm thinking that Cami is in some serious trouble. She's really all Esther has left to get her boys back so should we be seriously concerned for her? But, Lord help her if Klaus and Elijah get Finn and Kol on their side. I'm guessing Finn would be a harder get, but boy, could you imagine? Those four boys, living together in harmony? I smell a sitcom!
