Last week's GRIMM showed the end of Sean Renard, which did not seem possible, particularly with the concerned Wesen lurking outside of the room. This week's episode kicks off with the news we were all hoping for - Sean is not dead. Well, technically he was, but the woman takes matters into her own hands and after somehow freezing time (very "time out" a la Zack Morris, if any Saved by the Bell fans are reading) she pulls out a very interesting two-headed snake. The snake appears to be some sort of Wesen jumper cable, and in moments Sean is back... and I'm breathing easier. I do like the good captain.

Meanwhile, in Vienna, dastardly plots are discussed and well-manicured eyebrows are raised when Adalind arrives with good news - she has indeed rid Nick of his abilities. She is still under the impression that Victor and company have her baby and begs to be allowed inside. Victor is only too happy to comply, seeing as he has a cell with her name on it, and leads her down to the dungeon with tales of the baby along the way, as well as the news of Sean's critical injury. Once they've locked her up they tell her the truth - the resistance has taken the child and she was foolish to have trusted them. As he watches her under surveillance, Victor says that he intends to hold on to Adalind until she gives up every member of the resistance who helped her escape.

You haven't forgotten about our new friend the Octopus Man, have you? When we left him last week, he was hurrying away from the police station with Trubel following. We find him checking into a hotel, Trubel still on his heels, and he's looking to change his image with some hair dye and a pair of glasses. Trubel reports his whereabouts to Nick and Hank and they warn her to follow him, nothing more. She's definitely going to follow that order, right? With a massive sandwich in hand, she returns to her post.

This episode has minimal Monrosalee, sadly. I do love those crazy kids. They're hanging out in the spice shop, looking for answers, and Rosalee says something rather gasp-inducing: "What if we can't help Nick this time?" Let's get serious - Rosalee exists to help Nick. And to provide a love interest for Monroe... who exists to help Nick. They'll come up with something, at exactly the right moment or the last possible moment, which is frequently the right moment. And we will love each of those moments, because how can you not adore Monroe and Rosalee?

Back in the hotel room - room 402, to be precise - Octoskull perspires heavily while searching the memories he took from Mr. Slocombe. Remember our buddy Henry? Octo finds the address and phone number for Kent, the same gentleman that has coincidentally been leaving urgent messages on Henry's answering machine. He gives Kent a call and resumes his Lawrence Anderson persona, telling Kent that Henry has been in an accident and that he'd rather tell the rest of the story in person. Within a tentacle's reach, I assume. Kent, of course, extends the invitation and Mr. Squid takes off, and after finishing her sandwich, Trubel follows.

Nick and Hank are at the station looking up information on Lawrence Anderson and discovers he works for Satellite Defense Technologies, a company similar to the one that employed Henry Slocombe. However, when they delve further into his past, they discover that the real Lawrence Anderson was injured - with familiar wounds to the back of the head and a memory problem. What is the Octopus Man's real name?

Just about then Agent Chavez - the Wesen agent we met last week - asks to speak to Nick alone. She has questions about Weston Steward's death and his involvement with Sean, as well as the reason either was at Nick's house. She's also wondering about Nick's machete-wielding houseguest. Nick claims he's simply been teaching her to defend herself, considering her troubled past, and continues chatting away while she brings out her beak to test him. Satisfied he is not a Grimm, she sends him on his way and calls someone to assure them of that, but says she thinks she knows who the Grimm is - and I suspect that means she'll be looking for Trubel.

We get a glimpse of Monrosalee again when Juliette stops by to visit, asking them to stop looking for a cure. She tells them she and Nick need time to think about what they want to do, and to decide if he even wants to regain his abilities. They clearly disagree, but she is adamant that they wait. Once she leaves they get back to work. Juliette may like the idea of a "normal" Nick, but she doesn't seem to understand that that probably isn't possible at this point.

So we have to wonder about the lovely Wesen who saved our dear Captain Renard, right? Turns out she's his mother! Hexenmom talks with Sean about what happened the day he was shot, and he remembers what happened to Nick. He tells his mother that she's a Hexengrandma and she is pleased, though not so pleased to learn that the royals were behind Sean's attack. When Nick and Hank are finally able to visit Sean and meet his mother, Sean is distressed to hear that Nick has lost his abilities.

After talking to Hank and receiving further warnings to keep her distance, Trubel follows Squidley to Kent's home and does some very obvious skulking around outside the window while the men discuss what supposedly happened to Slocombe. Octoface asks for a glass of water, at which point he notices Trubel all but waving a neon sign around outside. Hank and Nick leave to find her, but not quite in time - Tentaclehead knocks her out and drags her inside to find out exactly who she is. When Trubel doesn't answer her phone - which is hilariously tossed into an aquarium by the Octopus Man himself - they head to the hotel to look for her. Octo's room is empty, of course, but they find Kent's address and take off.

Octopus Man wakes Trubel and questions her sandwich habits, but before he attaches himself to her he returns to Kent, who's already out cold. Trubel attacks but he catches her and invites himself into her head, where he discovers exactly what she is and completely freaks out at the images he's just seen. Be careful what you wish for, Octo. Luckily, Kent and Trubel both still have their memories and Octohead now has a mental horror flick on repeat that leaves him shaking in his cell.

Wu can't help but think something isn't right with everything that went down and starts looking into Trubel. He finds some records on her but isn't able to speak to Hank before he runs away, so he eventually shows up at Nick's house to ask some questions. Just as Nick is about to answer, he falls to the ground with head pain that appears to mirror what Adalind is experiencing in her prison - he even seems to be seeing through her eyes for a moment, and when it's over he doesn't know what happened or what he was looking at.

The end of the episode leaves us on edge, as usual - Trubel eats her weight in bacon and takes off for a bike ride, and while Nick is brain-melding with Adalind, Trubel is captured by some guys in a van - and Agent Chavez.

Next week it looks as though Sean's mother might be the answer to Nick's problems, and with Trubel out of commission Nick is likely in danger. New Wesen foes appear to be on the way and it looks like Nick and Adalind may have more head-swapping moments on the way. Could it have anything to do with the giggling man Adalind heard in the cell next door, or is she just going insane? I'm really wondering what Agent Chavez has in store for Trubel, and exactly whose side she's on.
