Somebody's getting married! And it is so not who we expected. It is Peter and Lauren proving, once and for all, that stalking works. Tonight's episode was filled with empowerment messages, but when Laverne Cox is spitting them out at you, you better listen!

Yes, our old friend Peter is getting married. (Setup for next week's finale episode entitled, "The Best Man" I guess). So it looks like everybody will be heading to Texas.

Meanwhile, Mindy's outgrowing her clothes as her pregnancy advances and she is feeling very down on herself. Danny can't seem to say the right thing so Tamra brings in Cousin Sheena (Guest Star, Laverne Cox) to instill Mindy with unwavering confidence. Sheena pulls out all the stops filling Mindy's head with confidence, but when she tries to seduce Danny in a gold lame leopard unitard, he laughs at her. And she is back where she started.

Jeremy, not all that thrilled to hear about Peter and Lauren's pending nuptials, decides he needs to go to an adult pajama party to meet new people. He drags Morgan and Danny with him. At the party, Morgan sees his girlfriend Jessica and has Danny ask her how things are going. Jessica admits she's about to dump Morgan because he's gotten fat. Danny begs her to wait because Jeremy is going to fire Morgan. The party breaks up early because the next door neighbor (Guest Star, Cristin Milioti) calls the cops. Jer (Jeremy's new strong-willed personality) leaves her a nasty note. Neighbor girl tracks Jeremy down at the office and after a brief banter, they decide to go on a date. Will Jeremy finally meet his match? (Just hope they don't make the audience fall in love with her only to reveal she died at the end of the series.)

Jessica breaks up with Morgan anyway. Feeling fat-shamed, Morgan and Mindy confront her and start throwing her hoarded belongings out the window. Mindy lashes out how wonderful Morgan is and realizes that she should be able to feel that way about herself. She apologizes to Danny for being crazy and Danny apologizes for not making her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. Collective "ahhhh" sound required.

Well, I can't think of a better place to end the season than at Peter's wedding. I'm so excited for his reappearance, not to mention his wedding. It really seems they are playing it safe and creating satisfying endings to some storylines just in case they don't get renewed. (Perish the thought). Tamra tells Morgan that she thinks he looks great, so will Peter's wedding be the location that they can rekindle their flames? Jeremy, sorry, Jer has finally met someone who challenges him and clearly he had a good night when he pounces in on a walk of shame to the office. But, I don't think we're going to get to see a Little Castellano this season, so I guess that is in FOX's hands. Also, is there any chance of a Sheena and Tamra web series? I seriously could watch those too all day. Also, lovely to see Rishi as an employee of Mindy's clinic. If they do get a new season, I nominate him for series regular. Mindy needs a dose of family around.

Two quick things that made me laugh out loud; Beverly doing laundry during a staff meeting while chastising Jeremy for being unprofessional and Dr. Bergdahl's outfit of choice for the new staff photo. I do so hope they get picked up for a Season Four, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet.

Lines I Love:

  • Mindy - Rishi you cannot sell your single, "Ho, it Ain't Mine" at my women's fertility clinic!

  • Sheena - You need to be careful, babies are shady. They'll steal your youth and beauty and keep it for their own damn selves.

  • Danny - I know a widow at my church. She doesn't speak any English, but menopause has brought out her inner beauty.

  • Jeremy - Old Jeremy would have gone home and taken it out on his pottery wheel, but JER stands up for himself.

  • Mindy - You're gonna get hotter and hotter like George Clooney and I'm gonna get fatter and fatter like Rosemary Clooney.
