BOXEO TELEMUNDO FORD Continues Friday on NBCSN

"Boxeo Telemundo Ford" continues its successful fight series as it opens its fall season with a duel for the North American Boxing Organization (NABO) Super Featherweight Title between Puerto Rican Orlando "El Fenomeno" Cruz and Mexico's Gabino "Flash" Cota in a fight set for 10 rounds to be broadcast from the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida. Acclaimed ringside sportscaster René Giraldo will narrate the punch-by-punch action, accompanied by veteran Edgar Lopez who will provide the night's commentary.

Orlando Cruz (21-4-1, 11KO) comes to this engagement after beating his compatriot Edwin "Bazookita" Lopez in a fourth-round TKO, while Gabino Cota (18-4-1, 16KO) also enters the ring after a similar victory over his compatriot Javier "Kevin" Lopez last June. Cota's only loss this year was at the hands of Puerto Rican Jonathan "Polvo" Oquendo in an intense fight carried on "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" in March.

"Boxeo Telemundo Ford" ended the summer season once again at No. 1 among Spanish-language networks in the United States. In the summer, a new viewership record was set for a Boxeo Telemundo season, with an average of 363,000 HHLD and 255,000 (18-49).

Three more fights are featured on the "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" fall line-up:

On October 16, Mexico's David "Severo" Carmona and Mexican-American Ricardo "Meserito" Rodriguez will face off in another championship fight in the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City, in an anticipated 10-round rematch for the WBO Latin Super Flyweight Title, at 11:35 PM/10:35C.

The penultimate match of the season will feature Daniel "El Alacran" Lozano and David "El Diablo" Quijano, who will contend for the interim WBO Latin Super Flyweight Title in a 10-round match on October 23 at 11:35 PM/10:35C from the A la Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida.

The rivals and the site of the last fight of the "Boxeo Telemundo Ford" fall season will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.
