The Hollywood Reporter writes that B.J. Novak is the latest to join THE FOUNDER, which tells the story of McDonald's and how the company grew into a fast food giant.

Novak will join Michael Keaton, starring as Ray Kroc, along with Laura Dern as his wife and Nick Offerman as Dick McDonald.

THE FOUNDER, helmed by John Lee Hancock and written by Robert Siegel, chronicles "how Ray Kroc (Keaton), a salesman from Illinois, met Mac and Dick McDonald, who were running burger operation in 1950s Southern California. Kroc was impressed by the brothers' speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He maneuvered himself into position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire."

Novak will play "a rising McDonald's exec who is Kroc's protege."

The actor is best known for his role in and behind-the-scenes on the long-running TV comedy THE OFFICE. Among his recent screen credits are Disney's SAVING MR. BANKS, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and the TV series THE NEWSROOM and THE MINDY PROJECT.

THE FOUNDER will hit theaters on November 25, 2016.
