The Telegraph writes that TOP GEAR co-host Jeremy Clarkson will be fired from his position as presenter after a verbal -- and allegedly physical -- dispute with one of the show's producers, Oisin Tymon.

Following an internal investigation, the BBC is expected to announce its final decision on Wednesday (March 25). Clarkson was suspended on March 10 after speaking to his superiors about the incident.

The host recently commented on his situation at a TOP GEAR charity event, saying: "The BBC have f-ed themselves. It was a great show and they f-ed it up."

In tomorrow's announcement, the network will thank Clarkson for his work on the series but he will "be told such behaviour cannot be tolerated at the Corporation."

The Telegraph also reports that BBC's Lord Hall "will defend Clarkson's controversial and politically incorrect style of broadcasting and say there is a place at the Corporation for that style of presenting" but that "he felt he had been left with no choice..."

Despite Clarkson's departure, BBC is planning to continue airing TOP GEAR on BBC2, with Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Chris Evans in talks to take over.

No word yet on whether James May and Richard Hammond will continue with the show; they refused to go on after Clarkson's suspension.

One of the UK's most popular series since 1977, TOP GEAR now brings its high-adrenaline action entertainment to America. Top Gear delves into the colorful history of the automobile and showcases an offbeat celebration of the art of driving, featuring super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews, as well as the eccentric adventures of its hosts with Top Gear's customary wit and humor. Hosted by comedian and car buff Adam Ferrara, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood, Top Gear explores the history of America, one lap at a time.
