Tomorrow, Dr. Oz sits down with Al Roker known as "America's Weatherman." He has never been one to run from a storm, but there was one issue that nearly brought him to his knees. Al discusses his painful journey battling recent knee surgery and how it changed his life. The episode airs Wednesday, November 30th - check local listings.

On his struggle with his painful knee troubles, Al says: I was about 340 pounds and I had had a bad car accident. I had knee damage to one knee. So I was favoring this knee, so putting more load onto this one, and eventually I got this knee replaced. By then the damage had been done, but I didn't want to go back in for surgery so I was doing anything I could to hold it off. I was getting cortisone shots. I was getting Synvisc, I was doing physical therapy. Obviously I had lost some weight and I was doing knee strengthening exercises, but eventually we were at a point of no return.

Dr. Oz then goes to explain the logic behind Al's replaced knee: "Now here's what they did to you. This is what a replacement looks like. So what they do is they actually cut off the very bottom of the femur and the very top of the tibia and they put a metal piece. Then they resurface the top. This is the femur that's connected big thigh bone. Then they put this little spacer in here, this little while thing.
