Adam Frary Named Director Creative Service for ABC-Owned Station

Adam Frary has been named Director of Creative Services and Local Programming for WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. The announcement was made today by Caroline Welch, President and General Manager of the station, to whom he will report.

ABC11/WTVD serves the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville region of North Carolina, and is part of the ABC Owned Television Stations Group. The station is home to ABC11 Eyewitness News, providing 43 hours of local news every week, as well as ABC11.com.

Mr. Frary will be responsible for all station branding, promotion, graphics and local production in this growing and competitive 24th market.

"Adam's expertise in promoting local stations and proven track record in connecting with viewers will serve us well," said Ms. Welch. "We're delighted that he is joining WTVD."

Over the years, Mr. Frary has held various marketing and production positions for a number of Raycom's local television stations.

For the last three years, he served as marketing director for WAVE-TV in Louisville Kentucky, shepherding all station creative for marketing, news, digital commercial production and design. He previously served as marketing producer for that station from 2003-2005.

Mr. Frary served on the staff of WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana in two positions, as marketing director from 2007-2011, and as marketing producer earlier in his career from 2001-2003.

From 2005-2007, he was marketing director for WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama.

He began his television career in 2000 as a marketing producer for WEVV-TV in Evansville, Indiana.

He attended Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana, and is the winner of many awards, including an Emmy, Telly, Promax, Addy, and Crystal Spectrum awards.
