AND SO IT GOES' Diane Keaton Says 'Okay' to Gig at Cafe Carlyle

Diane Keaton will soon be entertaining movie audiences by singing standards with a Jazz band in Rob Reiner's upcoming film 'And So It Goes'. Co-starring Michael Douglas, Frances Sternhagen, Sterling Jerins, and Broadway's own, "Rocky" star Andy Karl, the film hits theaters on July 25th.

Last night, a star studded audience, including Catherine Zeta Jones, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Bob Balaban, Joy Behar, and helmer Reinder himself, gathered to watch the film at East Hampton's Guild Hall.

Following the screening, the crowd headed over to Hampton's hot spot Nick & Toni's, where according to Showbiz411's Roger Friedman, Keaton was approached by famed rock promoter Ron Delsener who proclaimed, "I want to book you into the Cafe Carlyle. You'll sell the place out!"

Replied a somewhat confused Keaton, "Okay." However, according to Friedman, once she realized whom she had been speaking with, she was "thrilled." Made famous by the late musician Bobby Short, The Cafe in the Carlyle Hotel is located on New York's Madison Avenue, and has showcased such luminaries as Woody Allen, Elaine Stritch and many more.

In 'And So It Goes,' a self-centered realtor enlists the help of his neighbor when he's suddenly left in charge of the granddaughter he never knew existed until his estranged son drops her off at his home. Watch the trailer below:
