ABC's NEW YEAR'S ROCKIN' EVE Part 1 Pulls in Largest Audience in 13 Years

ABC's annual broadcast of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest Part 1" attracted an average audience of 22.8 million Total Viewers and delivered a big 7.1 rating, 26 share among Adults 18-49 (9.0 million).

In viewers and young adults, "New Year's Rockin' Eve" qualified as ABC's top non-sports telecast since February with the 2013 "Oscars" - since 02/24/13.

ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 1" out-delivered the combined audiences of NBC's "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly - Late Night" and Fox's "New Year's Eve Live" by 64% in Total Viewers (22.8 million vs. 13.9 million - NBC and FOX combined) and 45% in Adults 18-49 (9.0 million vs. 6.2 million).

Growing year to year (+3% - 22.8 million vs. 22.2 million), ABC's "New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 1" pulled in its largest audience in 13 years - since 2000.

"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Part 2" (1:09-2:07 a.m.):
Despite its late time period, the second segment of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest - Part 2" drew an average audience of 7.0 million Total Viewers and a 2.5 rating, 13 share in Adults 18-49 (3.2 million).

Up for the 3rd-straight year (+9% - 7.0 million vs. 6.4 million), the final segment of the show generated its biggest-ever audience - ABC began airing Part 2 in 2000.
