ABC News' "Good Morning America" finished as the morning's No. 1 newscast in both Total Viewers (5.578 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.080 million) during the week of December 1, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" has taken the top spot in both measures in all 11 weeks of the season.
"GMA" led the No. 2-ranked "Today" (5.127 million and 1.989 million, respectively) by +451,000 Total Viewers and by +91,000 Adults 25-54. "GMA" widened its news demo advantages over "Today" by double-digits both week to week (+10% - vs. +83,000 on w/o 11/24/14) and year to year (+38% - vs. +66,000 on w/o 12/2/13). Season to date, "GMA" is the No. 1 morning newscast in all key demos: Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" by 722,000 Total Viewers, by 193,000 Adults 25-54 and by 21,000 Adults 18-49. In addition, "GMA" has nearly tripled its season margin over "Today" versus the same point last season in Adults 25-54 (+172% - 193,000 vs. 71,000), and is now leading "Today" in Adults 18-49 this season. Furthermore, ranking No. 1 for the 3rd straight season in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, "GMA" is seeing its largest season margin over "Today" in Adults 25-54 in 23 years - since the 1991-92 season.Videos
