ABC's DISNEYLAND 60TH CELEBRATION Wins Sunday at a 3-Month High

Boosted by "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60," ABC led the broadcast race on Sunday in Adults 18-49 (1.5/5), beating NBC with its 2-hour James Burrows special by 25% (1.2/4), CBS by 36% (1.1/3) and FOX by 50% (1.0/3). "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" ranked as Sunday's No. 1 broadcast program in Adults 18-49 (1.8/6). In addition, ABC's Disneyland 60th celebration special was the most social program on Sunday night, 50% ahead of NBC's "Tribute to James Burrows" special (53.6K tweets 26.2K tweets).

In viewers and young adults, the Net posted 3-month highs on Sunday - since 11/22/15.

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 6.3 million and 1.3/5 in AD18-49):
Up for the 2nd-straight week in Total Viewers (+5% - 6.3 million vs. 6.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% - 1.3/5 vs. 1.2/4), ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" scored new season highs. "AFV" ranked No. 1 in the 7 o'clock hour with Adults 18-49 for the 2nd week in a row.

"The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 6.8 million and 1.8/6 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's special "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" finished No. 1 over its broadcast competition in the 2-hour time period across all key Adult demos (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54), Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11. "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" attracted ABC's largest audience (6.8 million) and highest Adult 18-49 rating (1.8/6) to the 2-hour time period since November - since 11/22/15.

"Shark Tank (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.0 million and 1.2/4 in AD18-49):
In the 10 o' clock hour, a special "Shark Tank" earned ABC's highest Adult 18-49 rating (1.2/4) in the slot in 2 months - since 12/13/15.

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on the 2015-16 season for premiere telecast or an average for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.

A note about DVR penetration: DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample is currently at 48% in U.S. TV Homes. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which are increasingly not reflected in the overnight Live + Same Day numbers. As a result, the Live + 7 Day ratings are the most accurate measure to gauge the size of the TV audience.
