Once again following repeats of ABC's Wednesday comedies from 8:00-10:00 p.m., DESIGNATED SURVIVOR built on its lead-in (+25%) and won the 10 o'clock hour for the 2nd week running with L+SD Adults 18-49 (1.0/4). In fact it was Wednesday's No. 2 TV show, behind only CBS' special 2-hour "Survivor," and delivered 25% more Adults 18-49 than its freshman drama competition on the evening, besting Fox's "Shots Fired" (0.8/3 from 8:00-9:00 p.m.). "Designated Survivor" was also the 2nd most watched show overall on the night (5.0 million), with a nearly 2.0 million viewer advantage over Fox's "Shots Fired" (3.2 million).

"Designated Survivor" built on its week-ago National numbers by 4% in Total Viewers and by 11% in Adults 18-49, which adjusted down from the week-earlier Fast Affiliate ratings.

Season to date based on Live + 7 Day originals, "Designated Survivor" is the No. 1 10 o'clock TV series in Adults 18-49 (3.1/11).

On average in Nielsen's Most Current ratings, "Designated Survivor" is growing Wednesday's 10:00 p.m. hour for ABC by 94% in Total Viewers (12.4 million vs. 6.4 million) and by 67% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/11 vs. 1.8/6), qualifying as the Net's most watched series overall in the time slot in 10 years - since "Lost" in the 2006-07 season.

"Designated Survivor" is the 2016-17 TV season's top gainer in TV playback among Adults 18-49 on the broadcasters, shooting up by +100% in L+3 and by +121% in L+7. The ABC rookie drama is also the biggest beneficiary of Live + 7 Day TV Playback with Total Viewers, more than doubling its overall audience (+103%) and drawing an additional +6.5 million viewers on top of its L+SD number.

Projections Rationale:
Lifts vs. L+SD are based on 2016-17 season averages for originals (excluding the premiere).
Returning shows: Profile based on same show (either premiere or averages for originals).
New Series: Based on similar series.
