According to Deadline, ABC has just purchased a new comedy from Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, to be written by the creators of last season's pilot BRENDA FOREVER, Andrew Leeds and David Lampson.

The project, titled POOR PAM, "centers on Poor Pam, that friend everyone feels bad for. Single, unemployed, almost broke, living in the shadow of her famous sister - everyone has it better than Pam. But that doesn't get her down. Poor Pam always looks on the bright side of life. And she's always ready to go another round, no matter how many times she gets dropped on her ass.

Married couple Ripa and Consuelos will executive produce along with Leeds and Lampson. The comedy will join other Milojo projects currently underway including a non-scripted project in the early stages of series production, as well as other digital projects.

Ripa currently hosts the morning sydicated talkie Live! alongside Michael Strahan, while Consuelos will soon be seen in the upcoming Amazon comedy series Alpha House.
