ABC Finds Replacement for Rosie O'Donnell on THE VIEW?

Has THE VIEW definitively filled the void made when Rosie O'Donnell left? According to Whoopi Goldberg, they may have- times two.

On Thursday's episode, co-host Goldberg stated that favorite guest hosts Raven Symone and Michelle Collins would return to the show the next day and hopefully be there to stay. "We are trying to make it permanent," said the EGOT-winner, "So write in to everybody." ABC has not told viewers that they have an impact on the decision, nor has the network made any official announcements about the comediennes yet.

"The View," is a live, one-hour daily talk show from ABC (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) featuring moderator Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace. It is the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations. "The View," broadcast in HDTV and produced in 2-channel stereo sound, is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on ABC.com. "The View" is owned and produced by ABC. Bill Wolff is executive producer. Brian Balthazar is co-executive producer. "The View" is directed by Ashley S. Gorman.

"The View," recipient of the 2003 Daytime Emmy® Award for "Outstanding Talk Show," is ABC Daytime's morning chatfest, featuring a team of dynamic women of different ages, experiences and backgrounds discussing the most exciting events of the day. The program has received critical acclaim since premiering August 11, 1997. It's broadcast live weekdays from New York City (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET; CLOSED-CAPTIONED; broadcast in stereo; TV-14).

"The View" is the recipient of 29 Daytime Emmy® Awards, numerous Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including 11 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show and 13 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
