Hei-Kyung Hong will sing the role of Mimì in Puccini's La Bohème on September 26 and 29, replacing Ekaterina Scherbachenko, who is ill. As previously announced, Hong also sings the role on October 4.

Hei-Kyung Hong has sung more than 350 Met performances over the course of her 32-year Met career, including 61 of Mimì in La Bohème. Her recent roles with the company have included Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, Countess Almaviva in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Juliette in Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, and Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, a role she will reprise later this season.

La Bohème is conducted by Riccardo Frizza. The September and October performances also star Myrtò Papatanasiu as Musetta, Bryan Hymel as Rodolfo, Quinn Kelsey as Marcello, Alexey Lavrov as Schaunard, David Soar as Colline, and Donald Maxwell as Benoit and Alcindoro.
