Youngblood Hawke Named VH1's 'You Oughta Know' Artist for March

YOUNGBLOOD HAWKE has been named VH1's "You Oughta Know Artist" for March 2013. Beginning March 5, it's a massive accolade for the buzzing Los Angeles quintet and another milestone for them as their first single "We Come Running" continues to gain steam online and at radio.

Launched in 2004, VH1's "You Oughta Know" franchise introduces promising new artists on the rise to VH1's base of music lovers. Many "You Oughta Know" artists have gone on to win industry awards and accolades including "Best New Artist" Grammy Awards and nominations. This highly acclaimed franchise has helped break artists such as Adele, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, Foster The People, The Civil Wars, Gotye, and many, many more.

Youngblood Hawke will also perform as part of the brand new artists.MTV platform at SXSW on March 12 at 11pm CT in addition to headlining VH1's second annual, invitation-only, SXSW music + pop culture event set to take place at The W Austin on Wednesday, March 13 at 9pm CT.

All this paves the way for the release of YOUNGBLOOD HAWKE's highly anticipated debut full-length for Republic Records, Wake Up, in stores everywhere and online April 30, 2013.

Recognizing their spark, VH1 has "come running" alongside YOUNGBLOOD HAWKE.
