Watch Drive-By Truckers Perform 'Ramon Casiano' on CONAN

An especially poignant performance for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, last night Drive-By Truckers performed "Ramon Casiano", the opening track to the critically celebrated album American Band on Conan; watch it HERE. The song is a topical folk rocker, telling the little known tale of former National Rife Association leader Harlon Carter and the murder of 15-year-old Ramon Casiano.

Said Entertainment Weeklyof the track, "It's a scary reminder of America today: the more things change, the more they stay the same."

"What I'm trying to do is point straight to the white supremacist core of gun culture," said the song's singer and songwriter, Mike Cooley. "That's what it is and that's where its roots are. When gun culture thinks about all the threats they need to be armed against, what color are they?"

Drive-By Truckers have also announced new April tour dates today, adding to a lengthy 2017 run including multiple shows in Texas and two shows in both New Orleans and DC, respectively. They will also be in Europe this February and March. All upcoming tour dates are listed below.
